One of my favorite possessions is my Pandora's Bracelet. For my birthday last year, my daughters-in-law purchased the bracelet. They carried the grandchildren with them and had each child pick out a charm that most reminded them of me. After giving me the bracelet, each grandchild came to me with their little Pandora box and gave me their special charm. As I opened it, they told me why they picked that particular charm. A turtle from Luke to remind us of our walks in the woods where he first saw a turtle; a treasure chest from Andrew because I am a special treasure to him; a ghost from Emma because I tell the best ghost stories ever; a dolphin from Madison to remind us of our dolphin searches at the beach; a butterfly from Abigail because we both love butterflies; a heart from Hunter because he loves me with all his heart; a car from Owen because he loves to ride in the car to gramma's house; and a dog from Joshua because we love dogs. Of course, my tears were flowing.!! Since then the children have given me many charms including a seashell to remind me of our family beach trips each year; a soccer ball for the many years I spent at soccer games with four sons playing; a circle of love for our family, a Bible; a Christmas tree for our family Christmas's together, a pumpkin for special family Thanksgivings, an angel, birthstones, and so forth. My daughters -in-law have their own bracelets now. Each charm tells a very special story of family love and laughter. Initially when I came into the store I found a beautiful emerald and diamond necklace, but I am partial to sapphires. No problem, Carolyn checked on a price of the identical necklace with a sapphire and we ultimately ordered it. Instead of a six week wait it only took three and the necklace arrived via insured mail, on Monday after having mailed it from Danville on Saturday morning. Enclosed was an appraisal for our files. The necklace is a gorgeous one of a kind piece. I am so thankful we waited to shop in Danville and get exactly what we wanted.
