Create Lasting Memories

By: Kelly York

What's your photography personality?  Are you the organized photographer that takes hundreds upon hundreds of pictures and has them all uploaded, tagged, and arranged as soon as you return from a trip? Do you take a million pictures but then never get around to doing anything with them? Do you pack your camera and always bring it on trips but never seem to take any pictures?  Or do you know you'll never use it so you don't even bother to bring it? Being in the jewelry business, we encounter people every day who are in the middle of making new memories and taking new trips.  Whether it's to celebrate an anniversary or to rejoice in a new marriage with a honeymoon, customers are always sharing with us the trips they take and the new memories they make as they go.  A challenge that we all seem to face regardless of our photography personality is how do we make the memories of our vacations and trips last and how do we do it in a way that goes beyond the photo album that collects dust as time wears on? Mark's brother-in-law and his family recently returned from a Caribbean Vacation to St. John.  They shared with us a wonderful video that they made of their trip with TripWow, a free service offered through Trip Advisor.  You can add your photos and create a customized slideshow with music.  This tool amazed us and gave us some inspiration to take out the camera and make the most of our moments, both as we travel and as we go about our normal, day to day activities.  For those of you that we see who are making a purchase for their upcoming travels - the newly engaged, the honeymooners, those taking a special anniversary trip, or those buying a wonderful diamond bracelet, Michael Kors watch, or Pandora lariat to look your best on that special occasion trip - we hope that you will continue to make special memories and will find the TripWow tool useful. As you make these videos, share them with us on Facebook or via email at info@bendavidjewelers.com.  We'd love to see the unique slideshows you've created.  And in that spirit, here's one we've made as well: Take a "trip" into the Ben David Experience.
