Celebrity News: The Ring Had To Be Big And Jersey Shore's 'Snooki' Got Her Wish

By: Kelly York

The pint-sized "Jersey Shore" dynamo, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, flaunted what is reported to be her new engagement ring yesterday during the filming of her spinoff series. Snookie told People magazine in January that she expected to be getting engaged soon and that the ring had to be big. It looks like beau Jionni LaValle made her wish come true. "He knows it should be big, 'cause if it's small I'm saying no," she told the mag in January. "Like, get another ring!'" We can tell from the paparazzi photos that the ring appears to have a princess-cut center of at least 2 carats and band set with diamonds all around. Snooki seems to have a fondness for white metal and we'll guess that this ring is platinum. It looks similar to this popular designer style. The "Jersey Shore" star flashed the ring as she filmed her spin-off series, "Snooki and JWoww vs. the World." According to People, she made a point of keeping her left hand aloft to give the paparazzi a good angle on the ring. Back in January, Snooki was spied trying on an engagement ring priced at $500,000. "Jionni made me take it off," she complained to "E! News" in January. "He was like, 'Don't even think about it.' It was like this big and sparkly and amazing ring. I just want a big one." Celebrity gossip sites have been clamoring about Snooki's engagement for the past few weeks. A close friend of LaValle apparently floated a rumor that the couple had gotten engaged on Valentine's Day at the W Hotel in Hoboken, NJ.
